What’s in my Hospital bag? Packing for my first birth.

I’ve literally packed, unpacked and added things in over the past week! I hear I am not alone doing this #newmumastobe.

I would HIGHLY recommend downloading the “Making mothers” e-book from @mere.botanicals for the hospital bag checklist + other great tips to get you organised during pregnancy and postpartum.

Some of the key needs for my hospital bag to empathise a calm, positive birth and recovery:

  1. @hypnobirthingaustralia handbook. * Karratha peeps - book in with the lovely @ashley_birthedwithlove for face to face sessions in town.

  2. Birth preference plan for my hubby and doulas reference.

  3. Affirmations board.

  4. @goodhealthforgreatlife homeopathic birth kit.

  5. @bodywise_birthwise + @mere.botanicals Naturopathic blends for during/post birth such as Post Natal Recovery tonic, Mama’s after pain relief liquid, peri spray, labour aid powder and clary sage roller.

  6. Obstetric tens machine.

  7. Electronics such as my GoPro, speakers, and headphones + chargers.

  8. LED tea lights for the birth pool.

  9. @inessenceaus vaporiser, including lavender and clary sage EO’s.

  10. Personal toiletries.

  11. Breast feeding supplies, including my @ozbreastfeeding handbook, @weledaaustralia lactation tea and @franjoskitchen lactation cookies.

  12. Labour snacks - will elaborate on the specifics in another post.

  13. @juju.australia period undies + @tomorganic cotton pads.

  14. My personal clothes post birth - loose fit and black.

  15. And finally #BabyWellingtons clothes and supplies (might need to cull as I have a years worth of clothes packed )

Not gonna lie, I probably am going to repack my bags again. It needs to be reorganised so hubby and my doula can easily access supplies as I require during labour.
